Scholarship program to study in France
The French Government, through the Embassy of France in Jakarta, has been providing excellence scholarships to Indonesian citizens for more than 28 years. In order to pursue its objective to improve Indonesian human resources, the Embassy of France will offer scholarships for the year 2009.
Those scholarships are given to government officials, lecturers, students, with a priority to those involved in a cooperation program between France and Indonesia, to undertake two kinds of training :
- Master degree (maximum duration of 2 years)
- Doctoral degree (maximum duration of 3 years, only on a shared cost basis)
Requirements
- Minimum diploma : bachelor degree / S1
- Fluent in English (or French)
- Less than 35 years old
- Minimum GPA score of 3 (except for fundamental sciences - 3,5)
- Submit all the documents specified in the application form
The selection committee will give priority to applicants who have already identified a master/PhD program and have had a positive answer from a French professor (or an acceptance letter)..
Field of studies
Priority will be given to the following fields of studies :
- Engineering (water management, agronomy, civil engineering, information technology.. .)
- Sciences (biotechnologies, information and communication technologies, environment, risk and disaster management, energy, etc.)
- Public administration, economy
- Law and political sciences
Applications from students in other fields are nevertheless welcome, as acceptance will be primarily based on excellence.
Selection procedure
- First step : selection based on application form and required documents submitted
- Second step : motivation interview (French or English languages only) in Jakarta
Scholarship coverage
- intensive French language course : length according to the applicant's needs and level (from survival course to extensive 11 months program)
- monthly living allowance
- 1 return ticket
- tuition fees (in public institutions for programs taught in French only)
- insurance

Shanghai Government Scholarship
According to the Interim Regulations of Shanghai Government Scholarship
for International Students (hereafter referred to as the Scholarship) ,
this detailed implementation for international students in ECUST has
hereby been set forth.
The scholarship is divided into Type A and B
Type A, as a full scholarship, covers tuition, basic learning material,
accommodation; it provides insurance for major diseases and accidents;
living allowance is offered monthly: 1700 RMB for master student and
2000 RMB for PHD student. It is awarded to applicants for masters and
above. The numbers to be awarded is 10 each year.
Type B is semi-scholarship, including tuition, basic learning material
and accommodation.
It will be awarded to applicants for masters and above. The numbers to
be awarded is 6 each year.
REQUIREMENTS
* Citizens with foreign nationalities and in good health;
* Abide by the Chinese government's laws, rules and regulations
and school regulatory framework;
* Study earnestly with good results;
* Applicants for the Doctorate program must already have a
Master's degree and be less than 40 years old;
Applicants for a Masters Degree must already have a Bachelors degree
and be less than 35 years old;
Students shall not receive other scholarships offered by Chinese
government during the same period.
DEADLINE
Applicants shall apply the scholarship before May 15th every year.

International Ibsen Scolarships Norwegia
The International Ibsen Scholarships were initiated in 2007 by the
Norwegian government. In total, scholarship funds amount to 1,000,000
NOK (approx. 125.000 Euro/150.000 US Dollars) in 2009, and will be
awarded to Ibsen-related projects worldwide.
* The international scholarships for Ibsen-related projects were
established by the Norwegian parliament in relation to the central
government budget for the fiscal year of 2007.
* Scholarships are awarded to individuals, organizations or
institutions within the artistic and cultural community. The
scholarships are meant to act as incentives for critical discourse in
regards to existential and society-related subject matters concerning
Henrik Ibsen.
* In cooperation with the Skien municipality, the Ministry of Culture
and Church Affairs appoints a review panel responsible for awarding the
scholarships. The review panel is to consist of three members, namely
one female, one male and one person with non-Norwegian citizenship. Any
member of the review panel must be fully competent and qualified within
the cultural and artistic fields of study. Members are appointed for
three years, with the possibility of another three year extension to the
tenure.
* Administrative support functions for the review panel and the
scholarships is the responsibility of the Skien municipality.
* Presentation of the scholarships is an integral part of the Skien
International Ibsen Conference, the latter being an annual event in
relation to the presentation of the International Ibsen Award.
* Scholarships are awarded based on a written application, which
should arrive no later than the predetermined deadline, and which must
abide by the rules set for the application procedure.
* The scholarships are accounted for by the Skien municipality, in
line with generally accepted accounting principles and subject to
instructions from the Ministry of Culture and Church Affairs.
* The manner in which public funds are used, is annually reported to
Ministry of Culture and Church Affairs.
